The long-lost recording of BBC radio show 'Desert Island Discs,' featuring Louis Armstrong blowing his trumpet on his own, has been found.
The jazz legend, whose own recording of his 1968 appearance on the BBC Radio 4 show was discovered in the archives of a US museum that is dedicated to him, had picked up four of his own songs and nominated his version of Blueberry Hill as his favourite track, the Daily Express reported.
Ricky Riccardi, archivist at New York's Louis Armstrong House Museum, said that Armstrong's appearance was the best thing to hang out with him, as he used to tell some of his favourite stories about his rough upbringing in New Orleans.
Kirsty Young, the Presenter mentioned that unearthing the recordings of such a music legend is great both for the current as well as for the future listeners.
The episodes are available on the show's website along with hundreds of others from the archive.
The other episodes feature Reverend W Awdry, the creator of 'Thomas The Tank Engine', 'Doctor Who' star William Hartnell and 'Avengers' actress Diana Rigg.
