A research has recently revealed that playing video games continuously without any break could be harmful for health.
Team of Dutch researchers gathered all reported cases of Nintendo-related injuries, over 30 years, and explained that keenest gamers were generally suffered from sore thumbs or tired eyes, the Independent reported.
Researchers examined two medical databases and found 38 reports of injuries and problems ranging from neurological and psychological to surgical.
Dr Maarten Jalink, researcher of the University of Groningen, said that overall, a Wii U was relatively a safe Christmas present.
Players should be careful about where they play, and they should take frequent breaks, he further added.
Nintendo's spokesman admitted that Wii was credited with getting people up off the couch, but people should pace themselves and should not overdo it.
