The US producers of the show are rumored to be considering bringing back the cult show that turned Lawless into a global pin-up and feminist icon, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Lawless said that the show's fans were devastated when Xena was slain and decapitated.

The 45-year-old Kiwi actress said that her team thought that they were telling a strong storyline and it was hilarious, but it broke fans hearts.

Lawless has also mentally planned out the first episode of the show, if it is ever relaunched.

She said that in her dreams it would be that Renee O'Connor, who played Gabrielle, she, and Ted Raimi, who played Joxer, would come back and basically stick Xena's head back on her and go on a quest.

Lawless asserted that at the end of the show a new Warrior Princess will be introduced and they will be allowed to do run with it.

In this way, they can put the family back together, give the fans what they want, reinvigorate the brand and hand it on to a new generation, Lawless added.

The original series ran for six years and 134 episodes until June 18, 2001.
