Madonna has revealed that she considers herself a "freedom fighter" for Russian gay rights.
The 55-year-old American singer-songwriter allied herself with Russian feminist group Pussy Riot by joining them on stage at Amnesty International Concert and extended her support to the gay community in Russia, Metro.co.uk reported.
The 'Hung Up' singer added that she was targeted with death threats for defying Russia's controversial anti-gay laws and was threatened to be jailed if she promoted 'gay behaviour' during her performance.
However, she confessed that she didn't change anything about her show despite the threats.
