Closer magazine has been ordered by a French court to pay Julie Gayet 15,000 euros over infringing privacy for revealing her affair with President Francois Hollande.
The magazine had published photographs of Hollande and Gayet arriving separately at an apartment in January, which had caused a political storm in France, the BBC reported.
Although the president refused to comment on the allegations, he had announced that he had "put an end" to his "shared life" with long-term partner Valerie Trierweiler shortly afterwards.
