A Florida judge is allowing a case against former NBA star Magic Johnson to proceed, alleging that he broke an agreement to market and sell a prepaid credit card, called the Magic Cash Card, and then made a similar deal with competitor One West Bank.

According to the New York Post, Celebrity Cards International's Reed Wallace' case was filed in June, and Johnson's team moved to have it dismissed.

Wallace says he struck a deal with Johnson to market the cards with his image, according to court papers, and in 2004 he sold 2,000 Magic Cards through direct-response ads.

Johnson recently got in hot water with Major League Baseball for his comments about Yankee slugger Robinson Cano and he's now had a setback in a federal court.
