Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said here on Saturday that his party is preparing for the Maharashtra Assembly polls and the directions of polls will also be decided at a meeting to be held this evening with party president Amit Shah.

"The preparations for Maharashtra assembly polls and the directions of polls will also be decided in a meeting today evening with our party president, and the entire elections campaign and activities for the coming 15 days and community programs for tomorrow will also be discussed," Rudy told media persons here.

"For the first time in Maharashtra, the people have an inclination towards the BJP, and the party has also started a movement against corruption to give a stable government to the state so the party will start its preparations from today," Rudy added.

The political alliance between the BJP- Shiv Sena and the Congress-NCP ended on Thursday ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, scheduled to be held on October 15.

The BJP had said that differences over seat sharing had led them to part ways with the Shiv Sena ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly polls.
