Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has allocated portfolios to his ten-member Council of Ministers on Sunday.
Pankaja Munde has been given the responsibility of rural development, water conservation and women and child development ministries, while former Maharashtra BJP president Sudhir Mungantiwar has been given the charge of finance, planning and forest departments.
Vinod Tawde has been allocated the school education and sports, higher and technical education, medical education, Marathi language and cultural affairs ministries, while senior BJP leader Eknath Khadse will be taking care of the revenue, agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy development, fisheries, state excise and minority development ministries.
Mumbai MLA Prakash Mehta has been given the charge of industry and mining, and parliamentary affairs. Chandrakant Patil will be looking after marketing and textile, and public works ministries.
Vishnu Savara will take care of tribal development, social justice and special assistance ministries.
Dilip Kamble will be the minister of state for tribal development, social justice and special assistance, while Vidya Thakur has been named the minister of state for rural development and water conservation, and women and child development.
The portfolios, which have not been specifically assigned to anybody, will reportedly be handled by the Chief Minister.
