Maharashtra's Environment Minister Ramdas Kadam, who celebrated Holi with mentally challenged children here on Friday, called for forgetting animosity and spreading the message of love.
"I would like to wish the entire nation a happy Holi. We are trying to make these children happy by celebrating Holi with them. We must forget differences and animosity, and spread the message of love during Holi and that is what we are doing," Kadam said.
The minister will also watch the World Cup match between India and West Indies to be played at Perth with these children.
"There is a big screen here, we are going to watch India's match also with the children. Everyone celebrates with filmstars, we should share our happiness with the children who are not privileged," he said.
Meanwhile, Manoj Thakkar, one of the children, wished those present a "Happy holi".
Holi is being celebrated in different parts of the country today.
