"The Prime Minister was scheduled to hold a public rally at Nasik today evening but due to extreme inclement weather, which caused a complete disruption of the area around the stage, we had to cancel the meeting," BJP general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy told ANI.
"He has postponed the meeting and it will now be held on October 7 at 6 pm," Rudy added.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier in the day attended rallies at Tasgaon and Kohlapur areas of the state.
The election for 288-member Maharashtra Assembly will be held on October 15 while the counting of votes will take place on October 19.
