Asserting that there is no wave in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule expressing confidence on Wednesday said that her party's vote share will increase in the state this time.
Sule highlighted the fact that a single vote has the power to effect change.
"The election is taking place today. This time every party is fighting individually. Every time fair and transparent elections have been held in Maharashtra and the people should come out and vote in huge numbers. People should vote for good governance, a single vote can also bring change," said Sule.
"Yes our votes will increase," she added when asked whether an aggressive campaigning by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the assembly polls will affect her party's tally.
The polling for Maharashtra Assembly elections began at 7 am today. Voting will continue till 6 pm. The counting of votes will be held on October 19.
