Reacting to the molestation and abuse charges filed by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta against her former boyfriend and industrialist, Ness Wadia, Maharashtra State Women Commission member, Chitra Wagh demanded Wadia's immediate arrest.

"The FIR has been lodged against Ness Wadia under sections 354, 509, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code. Out of this 354 is non-bailable. But the police has not done anything even after 24 hours so we have given them one more day to take some action. We want the police to arrest the culprit as the FIR clearly says that Wadia has misbehaved publicly with the actress," said Wagh.

"As the incident has happened in public so there are witnesses and CCTV footage which the police can use as proof for further investigation," she added.

Preity Zinta accused Wadia of molesting and abusing her at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on May 30th during the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.

Barkha Shukla Singh, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Delhi Women Commission's chairperson, said in Delhi, "When Preity and Wadia broke up she was silently living separate without any complain. It's only when during the match Ness Wadia misbehaved with her publicly then she lodged a complaint. Its Wadia's fault and he should be punished. There should serious investigation into the matter."

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is the co-owner of IPL team, Kings XI Punjab.

The actress and the businessman had broken up after being together for five years.
