Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said the state's next Chief Minister will be from his party.
"Seeing the trends, I can say that the BJP will definitely form the government in Maharashtra. There will be a Chief Minister in the state from the party and we will give a transparent government to the state," said Fadnavis while addressing a press conference with BJP leader Om Mathur.
"The people have given very good support to the BJP. In almost all the parts of Maharashtra, we are getting good number of seats. The people have trusted us and so far the trends show that we are the biggest and leading party, continuously our numbers are increasing," he added.
Fadnavis further said the BJP's tally has increased this time as compared to the previous elections despite its split with the Shiv Sena.
He added that the BJP parliamentary board will decide on the party's future strategy in case the party needs to enter into any alliance.
Both leaders celebrated the BJP's lead in the state and offered sweets to each other.
