The women's wing of the Congress Party are protesting at the Jantar Mantar here to vent their ire against the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
The angry protestors climbed over the police barricade and pushed it off.
"If Modi ji thinks he can stifle the voices of women then he is wrong, said Congress leader Shobha Oza.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh who was also present at the protest venue, criticized the government on the Land Acquisition Bill.
"They want to bring the Land Bill then they need to do away with the ordinance and then go into the Lok Sabha again," he said.
Earlier in the day, the former IPL chief Lalit Modi episode rocked the proceedings in the Rajya Sabha in the pre-lunch period on the opening day of the Monsoon Session.

The House witnessed three adjournments as the Opposition Congress continued to insist on the resignation of the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for her alleged involvement in helping Lalit Modi.
Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari observed that he will not allow any discussion during the question hour and adjourned the House till 2 p.m. for the third time amidst noisy scenes.
