It's official! A third 'Sherlock Holmes' is happening and will release in theatres on Christmas 2020.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are back on board to reprise their roles as the iconic British detective Sherlock Holmes and the famous sidekick Dr. John Watson respectively, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
'Narcos' co-creator Chris Brancato is credited as screenwriter with Joel Silver, Susan Downey and Lionel Wigram returning as producers.
'Sherlock Holmes 3' will hit the big screens nine years after the second installment 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' released in December 2011.
