President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will be visiting India with his wife Madam Fathimath Ibrahim, to enhance the close and multifaceted relations between the two countries. .
He will be arriving here on January 1, on a four day visit. .
On 2 January, the President of Maldives would meet the President Mukerjee who will be hosting a banquet in his honour.
He will also hold bilateral discussions with the Prime Minster on the same day.
This is President Yameen's first official visit abroad after assuming the office of President of the Maldives in November 2013. He has also scheduled to visit to Udaipur and Agra during his visit to India.
