Manchester City could trump rivals Manchester United treble in 1999 by winning a historic quadruple with help of their potent strike force, according to former Welsh professional footballer Robbie Savage.
Manchester City's new manager Manuel Pellegrini had also said that his club is targeting a historic Quadruple - Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup.
City is the only side still going strong in all the four tournaments. It is second in the Premier League table, lead West Ham 6-0 in the Capital One Cup semi-final and face Barcelona in the Champions League last 16.
No club has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup in one season, The BBC reports.
Savage said if City wins quadruple their strike trio of Alvaro Negredo, Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko will be a major factor behind it.
He further said with 99 goals in just 33 matches this season, City will reach a century eight games quicker than any side in Premier League history if they score against Cardiff on Saturday.
That shows the strength of City's attacking talent and with their three strikers seemingly pushing one another to reach new heights, Savage said.
