Premier League club Manchester City has won the race to sign Feyenoord's young midfield general Rodney Kongolo, under the noses of Chelsea and Liverpool.
According to the Mirror, the teenager will join City officially shortly, with a compensation package about to be agreed with the Dutch club who brought him through their ranks.
Kongolo is set to become the next top talent snapped up by City who are determined to get the best of the next wave of players, the report said.
The youngster, whose older brother plays in the first team, is a strong-running starlet dubbed the 'next Patrick Vieira,' the report added.
Ironically Vieira will play a big part in his progress as he is in charge of the City set-up at the development level, the report further said.
