Manchester United representatives have reportedly met with former Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal about the prospect of succeeding under-fire Scot David Moyes following the club's poor performance this season.
Speculations are that the team of United representatives also reportedly included one of the Glazers and they met with Holland coach van Gaal at a secret location in Europe.
According to the Mirror, there have been claims that the meeting between van Gaal and United has taken place and the Dutchman has been sounded out about the prospect of succeeding Moyes at Old Trafford.
Moyes is reportedly under mounting pressure following a disastrous first season at United and van Gaal, who will be a free agent after taking charge of Holland at this summer's World Cup in Brazil, is among the leading candidates to succeed him if the Scot is axed.
However, United have dismissed any link with van Gaal and insisted that no such meeting had taken place with him, the report added.
