Congratulatory messages have started pouring in for ISRO after the Mars Orbiter Mission, Mangalyaan, created history by successfully entering the Martian orbit on its maiden attempt.
U.S space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) sent in a congratulatory tweet saying, "We congratulate @ISRO for its Mars arrival! @MarsOrbiter joins the missions studying the Red Planet. #JourneyToMars."
India's political fraternity has also been quick to send in their greetings at ISRO's grand success.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy and Aam Aadmi party chief
Arvind Kejriwal were among those who sent their best wishes.
"Congratulations ISRO. What a proud moment for all Indians!!!!.," said Kejriwal.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also took to social media to express his pride, "Jai Hind. India is first Asian nation to enter Mars orbit, that too in first attempt. What more joy can our scientists @isro give. Respect."

Besides the scientific community and politicians sharing their joy over Mangalyaan's success, sportspersons and singers also pitched in to congratulate ISRO.
Tennis star Rohan Bopanna said, "A proud moment for ISRO and India, creating history. #MOM, #Mangalyaan."
Singer Shreya Ghosal also tweeted saying, "What great news this morning! #Mangalyaan reaches Mars orbit! What a great achievement! So proud of @isro This deserves a huge celebration!!."
