Manipur polls: CM Okram Ibobi, son cast their votes

Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and his son Kenedy Singh on Wednesday cast their votes for the last and final phase of the state assembly polls.

"We will get a clear mandate. This election is something like a referendum both hill and the valley," Chief Minister Singh said.

Kenedy Singh who is contesting from the Khangabok constituency said he is sure and confident of their win in the elections.

Polling for 22 assembly seats spread across ten districts is being held under tight security from seven in the morning till three in the afternoon.

A total of about eight lakh voters will decide the electoral fortune of 98 candidates at 1151 polling stations in second and last phase of poll.

Patrolling has been strengthened and night curfew is being imposed along Indo-Myanmar border to ensure free, fair and peaceful polls.
