Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of trying to create differences among people through their statements, and added that dividing the society is inseparable part of the BJP's politics.
"Some BJP leaders are trying to divide the people through their statements, though they later distanced themselves from. I believe attempt to divide the society is an inseparable part of BJP's politics. The statements have come at a time when some states are going to polls where BJP thinks politics of division will benefit them," said Dr. Singh while addressing a rally here.
"Should your vote go to a party which has always tried to divide the people and the society? Will you vote for a party which make two communities fight among each other?" he asked.
In an apparent reference to BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Dr. Singh said that the poll campaign of the BJP is only centered on one person.
"They are only talking big which has no basis. They are making such promises which they can never fulfill," he said
He also congratulated the people for the establishment of Telangana state, and said due to this people are going to be benefitted and it will mark a new phase for the people of the state.
