Flipkart Group company Myntra has announced the appointment of Manohar Kamath as head of 'Myntra Fashion Brands' (MFB). A seasoned leader in the fashion and retail industry with over 25 years of experience, Manohar will take over from head of Myntra Fashion Brand, Abhishek Verma.
"Myntra's In-House Fashion Brands have grown steadily over the years and some of them have stood apart as the bestselling online fashion brands in the country. A lot of the success of these brands is owed to the leadership of Abhishek who spearheaded the Myntra Fashion Brands business and has been instrumental in building a bouquet of 11 independent and differentiated fashion brands. The success of Roadster and HRX is a testimony to Abhishek's ability to build mega brands from scratch. We wish him all the best in his endeavors," said CEO Myntra, Ananth Narayanan.
"With over two-and-half decades in retail working with diverse brands, he is the perfect fit for our MFB business at a time when these brands will undergo a dimensional change by being the lead engines of our omni-channel strategy," added Ananth Narayanan.
"I'm thrilled with my new assignment at Myntra. I have watched Myntra grow over the years and build a strong portfolio of brands and I am looking forward to be a part of its journey to transform online fashion in India," added Manohar Kamath.
