Marlon Brando's biographer has claimed that he never gave up on acting and acted almost until the day he died of a lung illness.

Contradicting the reputation he had developed later in his life, of being lazy and unprepared during film shoots, Susan L. Mizruchi, author of 'Brando's Smile: His Life, Thought, and Work', said that the month before Brando died, he was recording the voice of an animated character, Mrs. Sour in a movie called 'Big Bug Man,' the Huffington Post reported.

She said that, though the movie was never released, but for Brando, it was a final opportunity to prove his eccentricities and commitment to the craft.

Mizruchi added that Brando did dress up to do the animation as he needed to feel in order to record the voice well and to be the character the way he wanted to be, when he dressed up as Mrs. Sour.
