Marvel Studios has announced that 'Captain Marvel' will be the first female superheroes film.
The film, which is scheduled to release on July 6th, 2018, will be using the hero's most recent incarnation, Carol Danvers, the Verge reported.
Captain Marvel has appeared in many incarnations throughout Marvel's comic series and Danver, whose powers include flight, super strength and the ability to shoot energy bursts from her hands, was originally Ms. Marvel, but that mantle has since been handed over to Kamala Khan.
