Two military police personnel were killed on Tuesday after their vehicle was fired upon by unidentified gunmen near the Tibet Centre on M A Jinnah Road.
One of the military personnel, Rishad, lost his life en route the hospital, while the other succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
According to the Dawn,the attackers used 9 mm pistols to murder the military personnel.
According to Dr. Jamil, Deputy Inspector General of Police (South), the two masked attackers opened indiscriminate fire on the military jeep from behind and fled from the scene.
The scene is being further investigated.
One arrest has been made in relation with the incident.
The Pakistan Army Military Police (MP) is the law-enforcement branch of the army and are responsible for maintaining law and order within the army. All branches of the armed forces have their own branch of police.
