A massive crowd gathered outside police station in Bangalore, as the entire city demanded justice for the six-year-old who was allegedly raped inside her school.
The protest was started by parents of school going kids today in the morning demanding strict action against the school authorities and the management.
Reacting to the outrage, the police commissioner, Raghavendra H. Auradkar assured strict action in the case but also added that it's a difficult one and that the entire proceedings can't be explained in front of the media and such a huge crowd.
Unsatisfied with the commissioner's statement the protesters condemned not only the incident but authorities' take on it.
"The incident happened on July 2 and today is July 19. It is so pathetic. I am also allergic to the system. What have we learnt from the Nirbhaya case? I would request the Home Minister that deterrent law should be commissioned, and guilty must be punished. Otherwise there may be a movement like the Naxals, not only in Bangalore but everywhere else," said a protester.
The protesters also questioned the police for delay in arrests and criticised them for lack of action.
