American boxer has confirmed his retirement after a win over his challenger Andre Berto in Las Vegas.
With this win, Mayweather recorded 49 straight wins, equaling former world heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano.
The 38-year-old confirmed that he is leaving the sports with all his faculties, adding that there is nothing else to prove in boxing, Sport24 reported.
Mayweather also thanked his fans, saying that he would not have achieved this feat without their support.
Earlier, the 38-year-old had outboxed Berto over the 12 rounds to defend his WBC and WBA welterweight titles.
The American was awarded the verdict 120-108, 118-110 and 117-111.
