Floyd Mayweather has outrightly rejected allegations of breaching drug testing guildlines on the eve of his megabout against Manny Pacquiao four months ago.

The 38-year-old American boxer was accused of receiving an intravenous injection of saline and vitamins, that was banned under World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines, ahead of his multi-million dollar fight against the Filipino boxer in Las Vegas on May 2.

Mayweather, however, said in a statement that he had not committed any violations and he was fully backed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

Mayweather, who defeated Pacquiao on a unanimous decision to extend his unbeaten streak to 48-0, said that he always stood for elevating the level of drug testing for all his fights, insisting that there is an increased awareness of its importance in the sport now, Sport24 reported.

Earlier, Mayweather had declared that his game against Andre Berto on Saturday would be his last as a professional boxer and if he succeeds then he will equal former world heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0.
