In what will come as a relief to millions living in East Delhi, sanitation workers employed by the city's municipal corporation have called off their strike.
The workers had gone on strike after the East Delhi Municipal Corporation failed to pay their salaries for the third month running, citing paucity of funds.
The resultant mess had led to enormous piles of garbage littering East Delhi's streets.
