Contractual teachers of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) protested here on Monday against the AAP Government's inaction on their demand for permanent employment and release of more funds for timely payment of salaries.
"We have been assembling here for the past few months. Our appeal to the government is to regularise us," said a protestor.
"We are also not getting our salaries. After the month of March this year, we have stopped getting our pay. If this is the state of the teachers, imagine the plight of Class IV employees?" she added.
Earlier in January, around 150 contractual teachers working in MCD and government schools had raised slogans, outside Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal's Kausambi residence over the same issue.
