Hard work, perseverance and courage have made Dileep K Nair the youngest chancellor in India.
Dileep K Nair was appointed as the first chancellor of North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) at Aalo in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh by State Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma.
Talking about his achievement, Nair told ANI, "Of course it feels good, but it's a big responsibility. I'm happy because I got an opportunity to serve the new generation. Being the youngest chancellor, I can understand about youths' needs."
Nair said that he enjoys his work and is proud to look after the varsity. However, he noted, "Working with this current system is little difficult."
Born in Tirur, Kerala, Nair started his career at the age of 24. After completing Post Graduate studies, he started own Group of Graduate Level Educational Institutions in Pune, called Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIMT). Now, he has around 12 years of experience in various Educational Projects in different parts of the country, like, Cochin, Calicut, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Bhopal, Delhi and so on.
Nair revealed, "I have started my career as a Consultant in my home town in promoting multifaceted professional training for Seethi Sahib Memorial Polytechnic College, established in 1962. I have been working in association with the institution as a Chief Technical Advisor since last 10 years."
Interestingly, Nair has travelled all across the country, which has made him fluent in as many as 6 Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, English, Hindi and Marathi. Presently, he lives in Bangalore with his wife and daughter.
