Malavath Poorna 13, and Anand Kumar 17, the two young mountaineers who made the country proud by scaling world's highest summit, Mount Everest said that meeting Prime Minister Narendra was like a dream come true.
"I met Prime Minister Sir Narendra Modi sir, he told me to study well and your future is good. And in your future you will do great. Meeting him was like a dream come true," said 13 year old Poorna.
Poorna made history as the youngest female ever to reach the top of the mountain in at the age of 13 years.
Yesterday, Modi met the teenagers and presented them with certificates for their remarkable achievement.
Poorna, a student of Social Welfare Residential School, whose family works as agricultural labour, said she wanted to prove that anyone from her background could do anything.
Meanwhile, seventeen year old Anand Kumar, a senior of Poorna in her school also belongs to humble background as his father works as a mechanic in a cycle shop.

Kumar said he was elated to meet the top leader of the country and would work hard for his future goals.
Both Poorna and Kumar hail from Andhra Pradesh.
