Melanie Brown's mother Andrea Brown has approached her daughter to bring the rift between them to an end.
The 39-year-old former Spice Girl had estranged from her parents when she renewed her wedding vows to film producer Stephen Belafont in 2008, which her family had always disapproved of because of Belafont's history of domestic abuse, the Mirror reported.
The singer's mother, who hadn't spoken to her from the past six years, reached out to the X Factor judge recently on Twitter, as she put up an image of herself with her daughter as her profile picture, and wished her birthday on May 29 with really touching words.
According to a family pal, the property developer from Leeds used to be really close to her daughter and she desperately wants to make things right with her.
Though she hasn't received any response from Brown to her messages on the website, she is keeping her fingers crossed that since the singer's now in UK, it light help in bringing them together again.
