India bowled out Australia on 151 runs on the third day of the third Test here at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday.
The hosts started the day trailing by 435 runs for no loss. Within the span of four overs, openers Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris, who were stranded on five and three respectively on the second day, were sent back to the pavilion.
Finch searched for a flick square on the leg side, however, he chipped an Ishant Sharma delivery in the air and debutant Mayank Agarwal caught the ball at short midwicket. Finch walked on 8, leaving his side on 24 for the loss of one.
As Jasprit Bumrah produced a short ball at the chest of Harris, the batsman hooked the ball and Ishant, who was present at the long leg boundary, caught a simple catch and sent Harris back on 22.
Australia got Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh in the middle following the dismissal of its openers.
To get a major breakthrough, Ravindra Jadeja, who replaced Umesh Yadav for the third Test, dismissed Usman Khawaja for 21. As Jadeja produced a slow ball, the delivery spin back into Khawaja which nicked to Agarwal at short leg, leaving Australia in trouble on 53 for the loss of three.
Following the departure of Khawaja, Travis Head came out to share the crease with Shaun Marsh. As Australia steadily reached on 80 after 28 overs, Bumrah claimed his second wicket.

Shaun Marsh, who was looking good and seemed to have taken the hosts to some sort of safety, was outdone by a moment of genius. While bowling the last ball of the 33rd over, Bumrah trapped Shaun Marsh on 19 as the latter got struck on the full, right in front of middle stump, leaving Australia reeling on 89 for the loss of four at lunch.
Soon after resumption, Bumrah nailed the stumps again. With a yorker from around the wicket, the ball swing back in late and Head was sent back to the pavilion on 20. Following Head's departure, Tim Paine came out to share the onus with Mitchell Marsh.
To get another breakthrough, Jadeja dismissed Mitchell Marsh, who replaced Peter Handscomb to get into the squad. As Mitchell Marsh looked to flick a Jadeja delivery, the ball lopped to Ajinkya Rahane at the first slip. The all-rounder departed on 9.
Following the dismissal of Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins came out to support his captain. Cummins was given a lifeline off Hanuma Vihari's first ball of the match. As the ball spin away from the right-hander and took the outside edge, the ball bounced off wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant's fingers.
As Cummins-Paine looked to survive, the duo took Australia to 129 for the loss of six. To end the frustrating partnership for India, Mohammed Shami sent Cummins back to the pavilion on 17 as the latter played for the swing, but ended up smashing the top of off stump. Australia trailed by 298 at tea.
Mitchell Starc came out to share the crease with his captain for the final session. Soon after, Bumrah picked up his fourth wicket of the day as Paine nicked to Pant, who had dropped him earlier. Paine walked back on 22.
An on-fire Bumrah ended Australia's innings on 151 as he removed Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood for a duck each. The hosts now trail by 292.
