After being trolled mercilessly for his controversial Twitter rant against 'azaan,' Sonu Nigam finally opened up on the issue, saying, "When I am talking about Loudspeakers, I did mention Temples and Gurudwaras too."
The 'Kal Ho Na Ho' singer, yesterday, took to his Twitter handle to explain his earlier tweets where he spoke about the problems in waking up to the early morning Azaan.
His series of tweets read:
"Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period."
"And dear Everyone, for those who are tainting my Tweets anti-Muslim, tell me 1 place where I have said anything related, & I'll apologize."
"When I am talking about Loudspeakers, I did mention Temples and Gurudwaras too. Is it that hard to comprehend? Loosen up guys".

Other than these, the singer went on clarifying himself, the whole day, from debates and mud-slinging on Twitter.
For the unversed, Sonu, who was woken up to the sound of Azaan early in the morning, took social media by storm after terming the practice as "forced religiousness," on April 17.
His controversial tweets evoked a mixed response on the Internet and among every genre of people in the nation.
"God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India"
"And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?"
"I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don't follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?"
"Gundagardi hai bus..."
