First Lady Michelle Obama has urged youngsters to speak about racial issues and other prejudices that she believes still plagues the society, in Kansas.

Addressing high school senior students on the 60th annual commemoration of Brown vs Board of Education ruling, Obama advised the students to never be afraid to talk about racial issues, as they are sensitive.

Adding further that the students need to ask hard questions and have honest conversations, as that would quell the wounds of the past and pave the way for a better future.

According to Politico, the Brown vs Board of education ruling marks six decades of the high court decision outlawing separate but equal and establishing that racially segregated schools were unconstitutional.

In her speech, Obama also spoke about her childhood and the racial biases that she had faced regarding her education.

She highlighted on the racial vice that had spread within the society and how she predominantly attended Black schools until 1975 when an integrated school for potential achievers opened, for which she was enrolled.
