Mickey Rourke has made glorious boxing comeback defeating former California Golden Gloves champion, Elliot Seymour, who's 33 years his junior, within two rounds in an exhibition boxing match held in Moscow.
The 62-year-old 'Wrestler' star, who had returned to the ring for the first time in 20 years, said that he was happy to be back, and thanked God for "letting him do it," the BBC reported.
The Oscar nominated actor, who had sent Seymour to the canvas twice in the 2nd round, had just been an amateur boxer before he entered Hollywood, and had trained extensively before the fight, allegedly losing more than 15kgs, to weigh 181.3kgs, same as his rival, who is ranked 256th in the United States.
Though the organisers kept the fee paid to the boxers discreet, they admitted that they had got "large amounts of money."
In the 1990's, Rourke had returned to boxing as a professional and was undefeated in 8 fights, with 6 wins and 2 draws, but had suffered a lot of facial injuries, which required surgery and changed his appearance.
