Soon after an early version of the updated Microsoft's Windows 8.1 OS was leaked online, the latest rumours have pointed that the original launch would be done in April.

Initial reports had indicated that the Windows 8.1 Update 1 would be released in March, but sources have claimed that the launch has been shifted a month to April 8th.

According to The Verge, the time of the launch aligns with Microsoft's monthly Patch Tuesday round of fixes, along with the company's Build conference, scheduled between April 2nd and 4th.

The Update 1 is said to include a new title bar for the Windows 8-style apps (Metro apps), allowing users to close, minimize, and snap apps to appear side by side by a mouse.

Other improvements have also been made to the Start Screen, where users can right-click on Live Tiles to see a context menu with options to resize, unpin, and more.

The updated OS is also expected to include a search button and a shutdown option straight onto the Start Screen .

The version also shows a control-panel link to PC settings section, apart from a new option in the desktop task-bar settings to show Windows Store apps in the task bar.
