Microsoft next mobile update may include start screen backgrounds and browser sync features, according to leaked Windows Phone 8.1 Software Development Kit (SDK).
Microsoft is apparently planning to make multiple additions that are not visible in the leaked kit.
According to the Verge, the SDK includes references to a "change your phone's background" option to set a background image beneath the Live Tiles on the Start Screen and Windows 8.1 introduced such an option on tablets and desktop PCs, indicating that Windows Phone 8.1 will provide a similar feature.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the company is currently experimenting with transparent Live Tiles and options to skin Tiles with images.
