Tech-giants Microsoft has reportedly unveiled their latest version of Microsoft Office, which will make it easier to use Office on a touch screen.
The new version tentatively called ' a preview of a work in progress' by Microsoft is reportedly similar looking to the Office that was unveiled for the iPad just last week, with sparsely populated toolbars and large and spaced feature buttons to select with fingers easily.
According to The Verge, the new version looks more full-featured than the stripped-back iPad app and it will be released across all the Windows family.
Although the touch-centerd Windows 8 has been in the market since October 2012, Microsoft has not built a version of Office specifically for the Windows and the Office users have reportedly been stuck with modestly helpful Touch Mode.
However, with the new version of Office Microsoft will be able to convince customers to switch to Windows phone and it is likely that the tech-giants will launch it at some point this year, the report added.
