Many people from Andhra Pradesh residing in the Middle East countries on Friday took part in the 'Walk with Jagananna' event.
To commemorate the completion of 1000 kilometre-mark of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, the Non Residents of India (NRIs) held the procession in United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Qatar.
Attending the events in UAE's Sharjah National Park, Kuwait's Maliya city and Qatar's Doha, the NRIs pledged their support for YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the upcoming polls, urging him to come up with a zero red-tape investment policy for them.
Suryanaryana, a participant hailing from Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur area, expressed concerns over the poor infrastructure in rural Andhra under the present government and added that the NRIs are hopeful of an alternative government in the next polls.
The event is being planned in the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), Singapore, Australia, China and Malaysia on January 28.
