According to People Magazine, the 'Wrecking Ball' hit-maker treated fans to a performance that left the audience very emotional.
In this year's act, the 24-year-old, for most of the part, stayed away from the theatrics and poured her heart out in the song.
Introduced to the stage by her father Billy Ray Cyrus and sister Noah Cyrus, the singer came wearing a cowboy hat, white off-the-shoulder and white cut offs.
Debuting the new Miley to the public was emotional for the former Disney star. She choked up at the end of the song, thanking fans.
Miley wrote the lyrics and melodies for various songs on the album with producer-writer Oren Yoel playing the instruments.
