Miley Cyrus 'Twerk' dance move of the MTV VMAs, has been included in the Oxford Dictionary.
The dance move has been marked as verb and means "dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance," Sky News reported.
It is among a number of new words that have been included in the latest revision of Oxford Dictionaries online.
Katherine Connor Martin, from Oxford Dictionaries Online, said that "twerk" was around 20 years old and have been coined as part of the "bounce" hip-hop scene in the United States.
Martin said that the word had generated enough currency to be added to the dictionary's new words watch list last year, and now they had enough evidence to adding it to the dictionaries of current English.
