Defence expert D.S. Dhillon on Saturday said militants by targeting Special Operations Group (SOG) camps and police stations in Jammu and Kashmir are trying to uplift their morale as they have no support now.
Speaking to ANI, Dhillion said, "Most of the attacks are taking place on security forces. Through such attacks these militants are trying to boost their degrading morale as they want to show that they have the power to target the security forces. The local youth is not supporting them and funding from outside has also been curbed."
He added that the militants want to remain in news and hence were carrying out attacks.
Earlier in the day, a group of terrorists hurled a grenade at the police party Special Operations Group (SOG) camp at Imam Sahab in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian.
Meanwhile, militants also targeted a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajpora in which two police personnel were wounded.
