The Central Government on Thursday fixed the Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for rabi crops of 2013-14 season to be marketed in 2014-15.
Marking an increase of Rs. 50 per quintal from last year, the MSP of wheat has been fixed at Rs. 1400 per quintal.
The MSP of barley has appreciated by Rs. 120 per quintal and been fixed at Rs.1100 per quintal.
The MSP's of gram has been raised by Rs. 100 per quintal, and is now fixed at Rs. 3100 per quintal.
The MSP of Masur (lentil) has been hiked by Rs. 50 per quintal, and has been set at Rs. 2,950 per quintal.
The MSP of rapeseed/mustard has been increased by Rs. 50 per quintal and fixed at Rs. 3050 per quintal, while the MSP of safflower has been raised by Rs. 200 per quintal over the last year's MSP and fixed at Rs. 3000 per quintal.
