Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has called on his teammates to carry forward the momentum gained over the last two weeks during their crunch tie against Ireland on Sunday in Adelaide.
Pakistan revived their World Cup campaign after registering three successive win in the ongoing tournament, including one against tournament favourites South Africa, despite losing their first two matches against India and the West Indies.
The winner of the last league game in the group stage will go into the quarterfinals and leave the loser facing a tricky run-rate countback against the West Indies.
Ahead of the last league match against Ireland, Misbah said that they had got a new life in the tournament and they must ensure they did not waste it, the Dawn reported.
There were four must-win games to play starting with the one against Ireland to win the tournament, insisting that their approach has to be straightforward, Misbah added.
The skipper added that they would like someone to take responsibility and bat the entire innings so that the momentum could be built from the other end, admitting that they have four good seamers in form, and it was now up to the batsmen to put runs on the board.
