Misbah ranked among Pak's 'most successful' cricket captains

Pakistan's Test and ODI captain Misbah-ul Haq is reportedly ranked currently among the country's most successful cricket captains given his impressive record in international cricket and leadership abilities.

According to the Daily Times, the list includes former and current stalwarts like Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad and Mushtaq Mohammad.

However, the report said that the victory average of Misbah, who has led the team in 22 Test matches with ten wins, five losses and seven draws, is even better than Imran Khan's, even though Khan is rated among the world's best cricket captains.

As compared to Misbah, Khan led Pakistan in 48 Test matches with 14 wins, eight losses and 26 draws, while Akram led the team in 25 Test matches, with 12 wins, eight losses and five draws.

According to the report, Younis captained Pakistan in 17 Tests with ten wins, seven losses and none drawn, adding that Miandad led the team in 34 Tests with 14 wins, six losses and 14 draws, while Mushtaq led the team in 19 matches with eight wins, four losses and seven draws.
