Pakistani cricketer Sohaib Maqsood has hailed his team's captain Misbah-ul Haq, saying that Misbah has been an inspiration and role model for players like him.
The batsman, who made his international debut in August 2013 in a Twenty20 international during Pakistan's tour of Zimbabwe, scored a half-century in his first ODI against South Africa a couple of months later and is identified as a player expected to play a significant role in the future across all three formats.
According to www.PakPassion.net, Maqsood said that Misbah is an inspiration and a role-model for players like him as he handles pressure, applies himself and sets an example in an exceptional manner, adding that he is one of the nicest persons that he has ever met.
Maqsood also said that Misbah would rather see young cricketers flourishing in the Pakistan team than adopt a selfish attitude and hog the limelight, adding that he is lucky to be given the chance to bat at number four in both the Twenty20 and the one-day formats and feels that both Misbah and Mohammad Hafeez trust him in that position.
