Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh believes that Shane Watson is still the premier all-rounder in their squad and insists that he is a vital cog for them going forward in this World Cup.

Watson is under pressure to hold his place in the Australian team, as he has been struggling with his form recently and went off for a duck on the first ball against England in Australia's World Cup opener.

Marsh starred in the win over England on the weekend with five wickets and a handy 23 from 20 balls, and he is set to feature again on Saturday against Bangladesh in Brisbane, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Marsh doesn't believe that Watson would be dropping out of the squad.

Marsh believes that Watson is still the premier all-rounder in their team and is such a vital cog for them going forward in this World Cup, adding that all of them know how important he is for Australia.

Marsh claimed that the best thing about this squad is that they have got 15 blokes who don't really care what the XI is.
